Never Give Up
During a photo shoot last week, I was talking with the photographer about my health business, and he mentioned a couple of interesting things about himself and his wife. He said that he had lost about 40 pounds a few years ago by cutting two things out of his diet that are also on my short list of recommendations for people to cut out. Unfortunately, not everyone can lose weight so easily. For example, I improved my diet but didn’t lose weight. I also had to count and cut calories to lose weight.
He also mentioned that his wife has severe rheumatoid arthritis, and we started talking about what makes the ideal client for me. I said a key thing is that the client can’t have “given upâ€. Sometimes doctors will discourage their patients and tell them that they likely won’t ever get better and that their condition will most likely worsen over time. Of course, the doctor is passing on what they think to be completely accurate information. However, my peers and I have seen many instances where a person’s chronic condition has been greatly reduced or even eliminated after a doctor told them it wouldn’t improve. But if a person has given up, they won’t ever find a practitioner that can help them.
